Dr. Amir Nasir, MD

Dr. Nasir is a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who has performed thousands of plastic surgery procedures. He has advanced fellowship training in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery from Boston University. He has received the Top Plastic Surgeon Award for two years in a row by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Dr. Nasir is a Plastic Surgeon in Fairfield County and serves the towns of Westport and Fairfield locally as well as surrounding communities. He also serves patients from all over Connecticut, regionally, including many from New York City, as well as international patients.

Dr. Nasir was extremely honored when Dr. James Lyons, an internationally respected cosmetic surgeon, author, and lecturer with over 30 years of surgical experience, chose Dr. Nasir to join his growing practice in Westport. Dr. Nasir has had the truly unique opportunity to partner with one of the masters of cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Nasir specializes in all aspects of Cosmetic Surgery including Facial Rejuvenation, Breast Surgery, Body Contouring, Fat Transfers (including Brazilian Butt Lifts – BBL) and Laser Liposuction. Another area that interests him is Cosmetic Surgery for Men, who have their own distinct needs and approaches to surgery.

Dr. Nasir performs all nonsurgical in-office injectable procedures himself and does not delegate those procedures to a nurse or ancillary practitioner. Dr. Nasir is affiliated with The SlimStart Lipo Center for patients desiring less invasive body contouring and who wish to return to work sooner (1-3 days on average).

Amongst his peers, Dr. Nasir has a unique background which includes earning a Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester, a Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans, and an MD from the University of Kansas. He was one of a handful of young doctors in the United States selected for his prestigious and highly coveted six-year integrated plastic surgery residency.

Dr. Nasir has served as Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Upstate, NY and at UConn Health in Farmington, CT where he helped to train the next generation of doctors, plastic surgeons, and general surgeons.

Before going into medicine he worked as an engineer on the correction for the Hubble Space Telescope and has received both the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Pride in Excellence Award from Ball Aerospace. Dr. Nasir also served for two years in the U.S. Peace Corps in a remote West African village on the Guinea Warm Eradication Program. His service in Africa led directly to his interest and career in medicine.

Dr. Nasir believes in offering honest, clear communication, and forming genuine partnerships with each individual patient. He takes immense pleasure in helping them achieve great results safely. He also believes that truly caring for each patient and having a great sense of humor helps in surgery and in life.

Dr. Nasir is from a small town in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY and he still maintains those small town values. In his spare time, he enjoys books, comedies, hiking in the woods with his yellow lab Tiberius, and spending time with his family. He admires the ancient Stoic Philosophers in general and Marcus Aurelius in particular.
